COMMENTS:

The ARC 2000 Yacht is a revolutionary design. The usable space on the yacht is double that of a conventional yacht of similar size. There is a garage for a large amount of water sports equipment, even a four-wheel drive vehicle. With its detachable marina located under the central body section, a protected swimming platform with extended marina facilities can be created. The generous interior leaves ample space for 10 guests and the retractable panel system offer a large and versatile open deck option. The different optional propulsion systems enable speeds from 20 to 50 knots and add the flexibility to customize each yacht to the owner's requirements. The different energy recovery systems will not only reduce running costs considerably but also guarantee that the ARC 2000 will be at the forefront of modern yachting technology for years to come.

1.0 GENERAL CONDITIONS & PLANS:

1.1..Greneral Description:

This 26.47 meter Motor Yacht is a hybrid catamaran with a multi chine planing hull form. The design combines low and high speeds characteristics of wave piercing yachts with the advantages of a planing yacht. This makes for very efficient and comfortable passage. The yacht will be built of FRP composite construction and designed to ABS rules.

1.2 Construction Design & Plans:

Advanced Design & Technology (ADT) will prepare these. The delivery of the plans will be approximately 4 months. The construction period will be between 14 to 18 months, depending on the complexity of the interior outfitting.

1.3 Construction Facilities:

The yacht will be built under a permanent roof facility with temperature and humidity control. The work space will be suitable for FRP composite construction and will have facilities for interior component construction; in addition to equipment installation.

1.4 Trials:

All machinery and equipment will be installed and tested prior to delivery. Sea trials will be conducted to insure all machinery and equipment is fully operational. Sea trials will include machinery run-ups and trials as well as associated machinery operational tests of the yacht.

2.0 CONSTRUCTION:

2.1 Hull and Superstructure Construction Method:

The yacht's hull and superstructure will be built of one off FRP composite construction to the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) rules. The superstructure will have the core comprising of high-density structural foam core and honeycomb core for reduction in weight. The bulkheads will generally be constructed of high-density structural foam core in the hull and machinery decks. The bulkheads will be in honeycomb in the hull and guest decks. The overall structure will be supported by a combination of watertight bulkheads, ring frames, longitudinal stiffeners and collisions bulkheads; all according to the ABS rules. The machinery beds will be integrated into the structure. The design of the structure will minimize weight while maximizing the strength of the yacht.

2.2 Interior Construction Method:

Lightweight FRP composites using honeycomb sandwich panels and other light weight materials, as required. Edge trim, surface coverings will be used with regard to weight and styling.
